STEP 9 of Comprehensive Land Use Planning Process: Conducting Public Hearing on the Draft CLUP and ZO

The Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) is the basic blue print of the municipality intended to complement and support the overall framework of rationalized resource utilization, sustainable development and poverty reduction at the local level which is subject for review from time to time in order to incorporate changes in land uses.

The last approved CLUP was in 2010. Mrs. Catherine Ann L. Gaurana,Enp., head of MPDO, said that the newly updated CLUP is a ten year development plan prepared by the LGUs to rationalize the allocation and proper use of its land resources. The CLUP will serve as guide for San Lorenzo’s future plans to make the municipality more resilient and sustainable.

Mayor Ninfa G. Gajo was thankful for the combined efforts of Municipal Planning and Development Office headed by Mrs. Catherine Ann L. Gaurana and Sangguniang Bayan Office headed by SB Secretary Liza dela Torre Gallentes with the full support of the local councils headed by Vice Mayor Constantino T. Cordero, Jr. for making the public hearing a productive and successful activity.
